Adaptation and orientation courses
Adaptation and orientation courses are dedicated to foreigners in forms tailored to the needs of specific groups, e.g.: young people, people of working age caring for dependents (e.g. children), seniors, etc.
Course topics include, among others, basic information about Poland, the history of Poland, the Constitution of the Republic of Poland and other legal acts, the political system, local government, cultural heritage, education, the economy, health, society, and social activity.
Courses are conducted in Polish, English, Ukrainian and Russian.
The course participant will learn:
- basic knowledge about Poland (location, national symbols, language, regions),
- Polish history and heritage (the most important events, historical figures),
- system and law (the role of the president, institutions, basic rights and obligations),
- culture and customs (holidays, cuisine, music, social customs),
- everyday life (education, health system),
- city functioning (transport, office, public services),
- professions and the labor market (career paths, personal and professional development).
Classes are free. Registration is required, and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
