On July 1, 2025, the Foreigners' Integration Center began operating in Gorzów Wielkopolski. It was established as part of the project entitled "Migration Operation. Lubuskie Foreigners' Integration Center," co-financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund for 2021-2027.
This is a place created for people who have come from abroad and decided to connect their lives with the region.
The Center plans to implement a variety of initiatives to support foreigners legally residing in Poland in their new social and cultural environment. Activities include adaptation and orientation courses, language courses, legal support, and thematic meetings on everyday life and the functioning of public institutions.
The Center will operate an information and advisory point, where you can obtain practical guidance on formal, legal, and educational matters. A significant element of its offerings will also be preventative measures undertaken by Caritas of the Zielona Góra-Gorzów Diocese, related to combating domestic violence and threats such as human trafficking. Ultimately, the Center for the Integration of Foreigners will offer assistance in continuing the legalization of stay in Poland, provided by staff from the Lubusz Voivodeship Office. The Center operates in collaboration with local institutions, organizations, and groups involved in social integration.
A free adaptation and orientation course for children, led by Caritas staff from the Zielona Góra-Gorzów Diocese, will begin on August 11, 2025. The sessions will be conducted in a playful and hands-on format. The youngest participants will learn about Poland, including its national symbols, language, cities, history and legends, culture, and traditions. The sessions will be held in the hall of the Foreigners' Integration Center in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Kombatantów Street 34 (3rd floor).
